Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Mushrooms
- 1 pound top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 ounces baby bella mushrooms, halved or quartered
Seasonings and Sauces
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Red pepper flakes, for garnish (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak and Mushrooms: Place the cubed top sirloin steak and the cut baby bella mushrooms into a large mixing bowl.
- Season and Marinate: Add salt, garlic powder, and fresh ground black pepper to the bowl. Pour in the olive oil and Worcestershire sauce, then toss everything together until the steak and mushrooms are well coated. Let the mixture stand for 15 minutes to marinate and absorb the flavors.
- Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the marinated steak and mushrooms in an even layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd. If needed, cook in batches to ensure even cooking.
- Air Fry the Steak Bites: Set the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook the steak bites for 4 minutes. Then shake the basket well and continue cooking for an additional 4 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 130 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare doneness. For a well-done steak, cook for an extra 2 to 3 minutes.
- Serve and Garnish: Transfer the cooked steak bites and mushrooms onto a serving plate. Garnish with red pepper flakes and chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, as this prevents even cooking and browning of the steak bites.
- Use an instant read meat thermometer to accurately check the steak’s internal temperature for perfect doneness.
- If you prefer, substitute baby bella mushrooms with cremini or white button mushrooms for a different flavor.
- The resting time after marinating enhances flavor but can be extended up to 30 minutes for more intensity.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheated gently to maintain texture.
